Embark on a truffle-lovers dream.
Learn first-hand the inner workings of truffle farming at Te Puke Truffles, and witness a live scent hunt demonstration by the two truffle dogs, before heading down the road to The Trading Post, where you will enjoy a three-course truffle-inspired Italian degustation lunch.
How the day will run:
Start the day at 9 am at Te Puke Truffles.
You’ll be welcomed by Maureen and Colin. They will share their story about growing and harvesting truffles, and you will learn the ins and outs of truffle farming.
Because it is outside of the true truffle harvest period, they will stage a truffle hunt at the truffiere where the dogs will demonstrate their work to find truffles.
Following this demonstration you’ll be able to sample some of Te Puke Truffles produce.
Following your two-hour truffle experience you’ll make your way to The Trading Post for a 12.30 pm three-course degustation lunch.
The lunch be a truffle-inspired Italian menu consisting of an antipasto, pasta, and dessert. Drinks will be available to order on the day to compliment your lunch, but please not all drinks are outside of the ticket price.
